My son has turned four years old! And now he is four and has to have four of everything.  It’s cute in every way.  I have noticed a slight sissiness in him but I think we can get him to toughen up.  HE got a Kung Fu panda sword which he loves. A swing set with a slide, two books, and two DVDs.  We had a cook out for his birthday and my mothers cousin came to enjoy the fun.  I believe he has finally grasped the concept of how old he is. This is good news because I thought he was having trouble with that.  He loves his family very much and involves us in every game.  We play with his v-smile quite often and he is growing a little with every day.

I have accquired  new friends and will miss them thoroughly as I change to a job closer to home.  The change is good it seems.  I am glad to be somewhere were I don’t feel any sort of relationship with the people outside of work is necessary. While I have gained wonderful friendships, I have felt these were also detriments to my job and changed a large part of my attitude toward my work.  I hope to retain a working relationship with my new coworkers while still being friendly.

I have met a kindred of spirit.  He has a lot of the same political opinions as I do and we agree on numerous other subjects as well. HE made me a couple of Cd’s and we have similar tastes in music and movies. I hope to continue this friendship because it is nice to have someone close by who reminds me of my best friends and who understands my point of view.  He is one of the few people here who does not think I am a strange person; and as much as I like being unique it is nice to have a person who understands where you are coming from on an intellectual level.  His brother likes magic and is interested in obtaining my collection of cards. Maybe I will be able to get rid of some of the horde I have acquired in my life.

Congradulations to you mt teacher friend. I am glad to hear things are going well for you. It is nice to have you in the same time zone again ;)    May you impart your wisdom to the next generation with only a slight bit of you cynicism.

Welcome home M.A. Time with family is always more appreciated after the fact:)  Thank you for the gift from Hanover I like it very much.  I am looking forward to hear more about your trip.  I hope work goes smoothly as you adjust back to home conditions.

Mommy, I am glad to hear you are finally figuring out what is wrong with your little boy. You remain in my prayers as well as Nana.  I hope things get better soon.
